New Day Centre for Slough

 In the last few years we have been hearing from people who live in and around Slough who are looking for clubs, social groups and Day Services and while we were concern it had been impossible for us to even think about starting groups. This led to us starting up the community calendar and newsletter to help spread the word about what is available and look at spreading the word. During this time we found that there weren’t very many groups in and around Slough and that those that were running were full and not taking new members.   

As this was very concerning we have been working hard to enable us to expand/ increase the services that we provide into these areas and are very please to say that we are starting a club in Slough.  Currently this will be on Mondays 9:30-14:30, at the Faraday Club, however if this is popular we are considering whether it could be expanded to other days. There will be morning and afternoon activities and a three course lunch served at 12:00 costing £25 per person. There will be events each month with entertainers and it will be dementia friendly. Sadly we are not a care company and will not be doing person care.  

We have set up a Facebook page for the Faraday Club Day Centre to enable us to share more information about what is happening quickly but also let you know what we have been doing. Before the club opens we are holing an open day/morning on Monday 6th October 2025, 10:00-12:00 when we would like to see anyone who is interested in older peoples services either as a company, works in health and social care, information and advice or individuals looking for more to do.
